herbicidal tendencies

This series of prints and plexiglas pieces grew out of the book project, A Field Guide to Weeds in which weed silhouettes multiply, overlap and repeat. In the prints, these sit atop images from a 19th century weed guide. On the larger scale plexiglas works, the prints are on both front and back of the transparent surface, creating a physical depth between layers. These pieces were installed with Dog Ear Privacy Fence, with a 2-color silkscreened repeat pattern at actual scale printed directly on the wall.
