NOTICE: A FLOCK OF SIGNS

In this installation, Kim Beck creates clusters of signs in several parks. Blank arrow-shaped signs along landscape pathways and in fields, accompanied by other arrows signs with instructions, labels, and information. These create a Dr. Seussian nonsensical landscape in otherwise serene nature preserves. These signs deliberately perplex, misdirect, and even contradict one another producing a hyper-informative, look-at-me garden folly. Commissioned by The Indianapolis Museum of Art’s 100 Acres, Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park in Indianapolis, Indiana and in Ghent, New York at Art Omi.
