FIELD RECORDINGS

In this series, photographs of the road are layered on tables from edge to edge. The images of the ground are raised up to be inspected as if they were specimen or rare archives. Ranging in size, the photographic prints create a collage, each one layered on top of the next, suggesting the repair and history that has occurred on the roads themselves. Taken between hip and shoe height, the scale of the cracks, stones and potholes vary, creating a sense of dislocation. Details: Size variable, pigment print on paper
