RHINOCÈROS

A group of visual artists, composers, directors, musicians, culinary artists, curators and others met to read the play Rhinocèros by Eugéne Ionesco at Montalvo Arts Center in February 2017, shortly after the inauguration of President Trump. The play, written in 1959, was response to the rise of fascism in France preceding WWII. The reading was followed by a discussion of the play's contemporary relevance.
